Celebrating 20 years in 2026, our Shred-a-thons have become a metro Denver tradition, setting a Guinness World Record and helping raise more than $1 million for Metro Denver Crime Stoppers through over 100 events.

2026 Event Dates & Locations

  • June 13 – Denver Police Department at Coors Field, 2001 Blake St., Denver

  • August 1 – Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, 200 Jefferson County Pkwy., Golden

  • September 19 – Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office, 13101 E. Broncos Pkwy., Centennial

What to Bring

  • Up to 3 boxes of personal documents per vehicle

  • Documents will be securely shredded by Shred-it and Iron Mountain to help prevent identity theft.

Why Attend?
Donations support Metro Denver Crime Stoppers by funding tip rewards, generating investigative leads, supporting law enforcement, and helping keep communities safe.

Important Notes

  • Limit: 3 boxes per vehicle

  • Donations appreciated, but not required

Youth on Record presents Colors of Sound: A Pride Showcase! 

Join Youth on Record Friday, June 5th from 5 -7:30pm to kick off Pride Month YOR-style at the outdoor stage outside the Youth Media Studio (1301 W. 10th Ave). 

This vibrant community activation will spotlight LGBTQ+ youth voices through live performances featuring artists from within the Youth on Record community, alongside local partners offering resource tables, information sharing, and opportunities for connection.


This is a free event, open to the public, and all ages are welcome.

Join the city Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 4 PM, where hundreds of volunteers, in partnership with the Denver, Lakewood, and Aurora Police Departments and sponsors like Waste Management of Colorado, will work together to clean up over 13 miles of Colfax Avenue to improve health, safety, and beautification across the tri-city area; after the large-scale cleanup effort, participants are invited to a fellowship meal with law enforcement and community partners, and volunteers can support the cause through signing up and optionally purchasing event merchandise like a special “Wash The City” t-shirt.

The Burnham Yard Small Area planning team is hosting the next community open house on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at West High School (951 Elati Street, Denver) from 9 a.m. to noon. This drop-in event will offer interactive activities where you can share your priorities and preferences for how the Burnham Yard area should redevelop. No RSVP is required, but it’s helpful for event planning if you can let organizers know you’re coming. The Small Area Plan builds on community feedback from last fall and will help guide future development in and around the Burnham Yard site. We’re collecting shelf-stable holiday foods to help feed more than 1,000 families. Suggested donations include canned vegetables, stuffing mix, instant potatoes, cake mix and frosting, canned yams, cranberries, jello, pie filling, and more. You can also support your neighbors by donating winter clothing such as coats, hats, and gloves to help families stay warm this season. Let love and generosity be the main ingredients this holiday. Donate, volunteer, and share the spirit of community!
